The Sound of Seasons Changing
PLAYLIST NO. 12, FEATURING THE FOLLOWING ARTISTS:
Charlie Simpson, Amos Lee, John Paul White, Parson James, Kings of Leon and others.
The weather in Nashville lately has been idyllic. The temperate is dropping and I can actually walk from my house to the car without breaking a sweat as I wait for the a/c to kick in. For anyone reading this who's not from the south- this is a big deal. So much so, I think there's actually been a communal mood boost around here, all because of the weather.
Side note: For anyone who works in Franklin, I'm going to let you in on a secret- Pinkerton Park at lunch time is my absolute favorite. I usually just run there at the end of the day, but now it's cool enough to go twice a day. I'm not sure there's a better way to de-stress than by people watching on a park bench or wandering around the woods on your lunch break. If you need a new spot for lunch, this is my recommendation. When the leaves start changing, I'm sure people will be flocking to this place.
On this note, the music I've been loving lately are songs that, if I had to pin them to a season, sound a lot like autumn. Listen to the first track "Little Hands" by Charlie Simpson and you'll understand what I mean. In hopes that this cooler weather holds out, here are 18 songs that I hope inspire you to throw open the windows, sit on the porch for too many hours, or go to Trader Joes and buy apple cider for you and all your neighbors.
