Thank You, Future Kennesons

If you’ve spent any time with me, you know that one of the things that makes my heart happiest is creating things for friends. There’s just something about pouring creativity into something and then giving that away that is so life-giving. Over the years I’ve been blessed to create some things for friends’ weddings. But when a college friend of seven years and his incredible fiancé asked me to create their wedding invitations, I was equally excited and nervous. Her vision was bigger than anything I’d created in a while and was a bit out of my comfort zone. But wanting a challenge and missing the creative process, I said yes. A bunch of hours later, I’m so proud to share the end-result, imperfect and all. The best part is how thoughtful, kind, and appreciative they were for these. I knew when they sent me a photo of them addressing my invitation, both grinning from ear to ear, that I’d made the right decision. Saying yes to scary projects isn’t so bad when the people asking are so full of grace and patience. Alyson and Peter, thank you for letting me be a part of your special day, for allowing my finger prints and elbow grease to play a part in your story. It truly means the world and I am so honored.
